Distribution of seed capital to 27 women and girls

Each left with a premises, initial stock, and a monitoring logbook, following the signing and filing of their lease agreement.
Support delivered in person
At the Inua Développement office in Beni, each of the 27 project participants Women entrepreneurs in Beni received their seed capital in person, after signing their lease agreement. Each contract is archived: this record ensures that the support was properly received and protects the beneficiary.
A space, stock, and a ledger
The capital allows for renting a space and building initial stock. The tracking ledger provided to each participant is used to record daily purchases, sales, and savings. It is the essential tool from the management training provided prior to the distribution: cost calculation, price setting, and stock management.
Six months of support
The distribution is not the end. For six months, the team supports each activity on the ground, and a VSLA (Village Savings and Loan Association) is gradually established to encourage savings and reinvestment.
Before, I would sell whatever I could find at the market in the morning. Since the training and the start-up capital, I have a shop, stock, and a notebook where I record everything. I finally know what I earn.

The project is conducted with the Congolese Women's Fund and the National Philanthropic Trust, as part of our area of work Economic empowerment of women.
